Location: Denver, CO
Salary: The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000. Actual compensation may fall above or below this range based on relevant experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.

This position provides legal and administrative support to the firm’s shareholders, senior counsel, associates, and practice groups. The successful candidate serves as a trusted business partner, managing complex legal and administrative matters, coordinating high-level client interactions, preparing sophisticated legal and business documents, supporting business development initiatives, and helping ensure the efficient operation of one of the region’s leading energy and natural resources law firms. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, exercises sound judgment, anticipates attorney needs, and maintains the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service.
essential duties & Responsibilities
Executive & Administrative Support
Provide executive-level administrative support to shareholders and attorneys.
Manage complex calendars, meetings, travel, and priorities.
Prepare expense reports and reimbursement requests.
Maintain attorney contacts, client information, and confidential records.
Anticipate attorney needs and independently resolve administrative issues.
Legal Document Management
Draft, proofread, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, presentations, and reports.
Prepare engagement letters, agreements, regulatory filings, and client communications.
Coordinate document execution, signatures, revisions, and version control.
Maintain electronic and physical matter files using document management systems.
Assist with court and regulatory filings where appropriate.
Prepare closing binders and organize transaction or litigation documents.
Meeting & Project Coordination
Coordinate practice group meetings and client meetings.
Prepare agendas, presentation materials, and meeting minutes.
Track deadlines and follow up on action items.
Assist with special projects and firm initiatives.
Billing & Financial Support
Assist attorneys with time entry and billing.
Review and edit prebills as directed.
Monitor billing deadlines and client billing requirements.
Coordinate billing revisions, transfers, and write-off documentation.
Assist with expense tracking and budget-related activities.
Practice Support & Business Development
Coordinate attorney admissions, CLE registrations, memberships, and license renewals.
Assist with proposals, presentations, conference materials, attorney biographies, and marketing collateral.
Support client development activities and relationship management.
Technology
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Experience with legal document management systems and legal billing software.
Ability to learn and effectively utilize firm-approved AI productivity tools.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of executive or legal administrative support experience, preferably in a law firm
Experience supporting shareholders, partners, executives, or senior attorneys
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Outstanding proofreading, formatting, organization, and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining accuracy
Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience in energy, natural resources, litigation, or commercial law
Experience with electronic court filing systems and legal billing platforms
Experience working with the ECMC and NMOCD
